Essential Education are currently looking to recruit a Senior Science Technician to work with a popular secondary school based in Bolton on a supply basis.

The assignment is to start in September 2025 and will run for 6 - 12 weeks.

Responsibilities include:-

• Practical Support: Preparing equipment and materials for practical lessons, setting up experiments, and assisting teachers with demonstrations.
• Equipment Management: Maintaining laboratory equipment, making repairs, and ordering supplies.
• Safety: Ensuring a safe working environment in laboratories and preparation areas.
• Inventory and Budgeting: Managing inventory, taking stock, and potentially assisting with budgeting for science resources.
• Collaboration: Working with teaching staff to identify needs and support their teaching.
• Other Tasks: May include tasks like transporting materials, collecting locally, and maintaining general lab cleanliness.
